1.What is JPETS?
JPETS is a new health check system by Japanese Government whether
foreign nationals have tuberculosis (TB)or not.
If foreign nationals from Philippines, Vietnam, Nepal, Indonesia, Myanmar, China
want to stay in Japan for more than 3 months, you need this check.
2. Where to Take the Test?
You must go to a special hospital called “Panel Clinic.” The Japanese government chooses these clinics in each country.
3. When Does JPETS need to submit?
When people request to issue VISA at Japanese Consulate General in each country
(Not at the time to apply COE)
, Philippines / Nepal: need to submit from June 23, 2025
– Vietnam: need to submit from September 1, 2025
– Indonesia, Myanmar, China: will be announced later.
4. Important Points
– Without JPETS, your visa application will not be accepted.
– After the check, you will get a JPETS number. Use this number for your visa application.
– Your school or company may still request other medical certificates.
